As Corey recovered, Karen recognized the balsam was helping her to focus her thoughts and her prayers, and the she came up with the idea of hand-sized balsam pillows to use as prayer pillows. She made one for herself and added a pocket so that she could add a photo of her son to the pillow.
She then began sending them to friends. After the death of a friend's sister, she sent a prayer pillow with a copy of the obituary in the pocket. She's sent them as a wedding gift with a copy of the announcement and to friends in hospital with handwritten notes of prayer and encouragement.
A Worcester Wreath prayer pillow is something anyone can send instead of a card to let a friend or loved one know that you care and that they're in your prayers.
The 3-inch-by-6-inch-by-1.5-inch pillow is made in a variety of fabrics, and Worcester Wreath is happy to consider requests for custom orders and designs. Visit www.prayerscent.com for more information.
